Saturday March 31st at ST. Luke's Hospital in the auditorium, at 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, there is a skywarn spotter training event. Cleveland weather is sending a speaker to present this spotter training.
If you have not renewed your training in the past couple of years, they may remove you from their spotter list. They advise you need to attend these trainings every two years to keep up to date.
Steve, KC8TVW will be at the spotter training looking to sign up people who are interested in getting their ham licenses. TMRA is putting on yet another entry level class that will be on April 21st and May 5th.
April 11th is the next TMRA general meeting. The meeting starts at 7:30 PM. The April meeting usually is the presentation of the yearly budget so if you want to hear about TMRA's budget, this is a good meeting to attend. As always, guests are welcome to attend and the club provides refreshments.
I'm kind of getting used to this warmer weather. Makes me look forward to Dayton. If you want to go, you might want to purchase your tickets ahead of time and maybe get signed up for the bus TMRA takes to the hamfest. The cost of the bus is $30.00. It parks right at the fence usually. It is going to cost $30.00 to drive to and from Dayton unless you have a vehicle that is powered by free radio waves, Hi Hi. Anyway, contact Mike, WA8SYD to get signed up for the Dayton bus trip.
