Eugene,
Interestingly (?) the MRK-1 isn't listed in the more-or-less official table
of TMC equipment that I used to build:
https://tmchistory.org/tmc_tables/tmc_comp_list_table.htm
BTW, there are a bunch of photos of the MRK-1 (s/n 196) at:
https://tmchistory.org/tmc_tables/rig_pix_db/mrk/
Per the discussion at
https://tmchistory.org/McElroy/mcelroy_index.htm
TMC had an unusual relationship with McElroy, the manufacturer of most of
the contemporary CW/Morse training equipment and much else. See
https://tmchistory.org/McElroy/mcelroy_catalog.pdf
There you'll note the connection between McElroy and TMC, where Ray
dePasquale and Bill Gallione were on McElroy's board. I think the MRK-1
was probably built for McElroy, or in partnership with them, but.. that's
mostly speculation, since the only McElroy catalogs I have don't list it.
Cheers,
jp
