That was the NPG transmit site in Dixon, Ca. It still exists but not with TMC gear. Some of those transmitters ended up with Bob Beebe, W6SHF (sk) then, many years later to John, K9WT and myself as well as JP and Nick. The bulk was probably sent over to the DRMO at the then active McClellan AFB where it was sold for scrap. The NPG receiver site over on Skaggs island was shut down about the same time, along with the Wullenweber DF set there. Via Bob, I ended up with one of the FRR-60's and John has the others.
That was REAL radio. The Skaggs Island site had a large antenna farm, mostly wire arrays.....all erased now....

Beautiful stuff.  Who got it when the navy did away with it?  I got to
visit a Navy Comm station up by Davis California back in 71.  Big
transmitter site with a fellow ham who was stationed there.  Talk about
being in AWE!  Where did all of that stuff go when they either upgraded
or shut down the sites?
