Hello Meir,

I’m replying to your posting on the TMC mail list. I have a very clean GPE-1A but as is often the case, “there’s a story”. I am not trying to be coy or ‘cute’ but I must explain my circumstances.

I have been intermittently playing radio for 507 years but not at all in the last 5 years. I had been in the process of assembling a TMC transmitter about the time my attention was shifted to other activities (a wonderful new bride, antique motorcycles and others). It was my intent to keep the transmitter forever but, coincidental in timing to your posting, I had just had just entertained the first thoughts about the possibly moving on. I sold a GPR-92, SBE and PMO in the recent 3 years and did not die of sadness as a result. The transmitter (photo attached) is comprised of the cleanest examples I was able to find and I was looking forward to getting it up and running. Now, I’m not as sure.

The transmitter consists of:
ATS-2 (with exterior tuning unit), ser# 435
PAL-500, ser# 138
PSP500, ser# 2214
GPE-1A, ser# 23303
SBE-8, ser# 32480
A1397, ser# 32480
PMO-5, ser# 9792
CSS-1A, ser# 6143
TTG, ser# 277
Generic 6 ft rack.

My quandary is that if I do elect to pass it on, there is an emotional desire to keep it all together - which seems appealing for unknown reasoning - or selling the component pieces piece-meal. I really don’t like the idea of splitting it up buyers who would buy the entire unit may not be plentiful.

So that’s where I am. This may end up being of no interest to you but I receive so few TMC mail list postings that I felt I should reply.

Regards,
