[TMC] Meter for TMC SBE

Referring to the SBE manual, that would be M-101, TMC part number MR-100-8,
described as a 0-200uA meter.

Then, going to the TMC drawings archive at:

http://tmchistory.org/tmc_drawings/tmc_searchable_drawings_head_page.htm

and looking up the drawing for MR-100-8 in the "MR's", it's a 2-1/2" square
meter with 1000 ohms internal resistance. I'm reasonably sure that's a
standard Simpson 200uA meter movement, so if you can find one of those
(which shouldn't be too hard--I think they're still being made!), you could
take both meters apart and change out the metal scale from the bad one to
the good one.

So, this boils down to finding a standard Simpson 200uA 2-1/2" square
meter, which should be a lot easier than finding an SBE parts unit..
maybe. I might have one in my meter stash.. will try to look this weekend.

Bruce!)
