[TMC] MSR-8 question

According to the manuals, MSR-8 (500 kc) is identical to MSR-4 (455kc)
except that the crystals are 483 & 517 kc instead of 438 & 472 kc. Also the
first oscillator in MANUAL mode (bandspread) is aligned with these
frequencies (adjust T2 & C-29). You can even see that the MSR-8 manual is
an MSR-4 one with the old frequencies whited out and retyped with the new
ones.
On these converters, the IF input is untuned and the first oscillator in
CRYSTAL mode is untuned so you can install crystals to cover any IF input
from 200kc to 1.5mc. The first oscillator in MANUAL mode needs to be
aligned and requires some change of components if you get too far away from
455kc.
The MSR-3 is for 200kc IF's and has different oscillator tank components
(Z-3). I have a military MSR-3 (CV-657A/URR) but haven't ever seen an MSR-8.
