[TMC] TMC Manuals On-line. Finally!

Folks,

Some of you may recall that a huge stash of TMC manuals was "discovered"
a couple of years ago, with the promise that they would all eventually
be available on-line.

I'm happy to announce: that day has arrived! It took nearly 2 years
to get to this point. I've scanned some 700 documents, which took
most of that time (even with a blitzing fast automated scanner!), but
it's taken months more just to get this pile organized, though crudely
so far.

Please point your browser to

http://www.jptronics.org/radios/TMC/

and proceed to "Link to TMC Manual Page". Please also read the caveats
on that page. This is still a bit of a work in progress.

You'll find some really interesting reading material on these pages.
There are manuals there that I believe are not held in any private
collections.

I've attempted to make these "archival" scans. They were performed at
400 dpi for this reason, and the print and drawings should produce very
fine printed copy from the downloads. The pictures are not all that great,
however. As time permits, I'll improve them.

Most of the manuals are in huge, flat files. Figured internet speeds
are getting faster, and discs are cheap, so.. why not? By big, I mean
BIG: the GPT-200K TM's total over 1.3GB, for example. All are multi-
page PDF's containing JPG's.

As usual, if you find broken links, missing pages, or any other problems,
please let me know.

While this stash is huge, it is still not complete. If you have manuals
in your collection that are not represented on my list, please consider
loaning me the manual for scanning--I'll treat it carefully, return it
promptly, and pay for shipping both ways!

Coming soon: mechanical drawings, and lots more.. :)

Enjoy!!

73, John K4OZY
