[TMC] Reproduction Parts for the TMC GPT-750 Transmitter

Dear Fellow GPT-750 Enthusiasts,

I am in the process of completely restoring my TMC GPT-750D-2 transmitter. All that remains for me to do at this point is to media blast the CAB-7 Cabinet, and repaint the front panels and refill the engraving.

One remaining part to this rig is missing, however. In the course of this restoration, I will be making an exact reproduction of the removable cover panel that is located over the two terminal/barrier strips on the rear of the transmitter. This cover is secured in place by two Dzus fasteners, and was only used on the GPT-750-2 series of transmitters; it was not used on the earlier GPT-750-1 units.

>From what I understand, over time, many of these removable covers have been separated from the transmitter and subsequently lost, and are now essentially unavailable. If you own a GPT-750 and this part is missing, and wish to keep the transmitter as close to factory as-built/original and complete condition as possible, you may be looking for this cover panel.

The reproduction I am making will be fabricated by a precision sheet metal shop that I have used for most of my previous homebrew and electronics restoration projects, and it will be an exact reproduction of the original.  It will be fabricated from 0.050" THK aluminum, irridited, painted the exact shade of TMC blue in the same oven bake enamel textured finish as the original, and will include two of the correct Dzus fasteners installed. I think I may also be able to get the TMC MS dwg. number stamped in the cover panel as well. The estimated not-to-exceed  price is $75.00 to $100.00 each less shipping costs, and is largely a function of how many of these reproductions I will be making. I will not know the exact price until the parts are fabricated, irridited, painted, and I purchase the Dzus fasteners and retaining circlips, but if the cost for similar work I have done previously is a good indicator, the price will be in this area.

I am looking to get an expression of interest from other GPT-750 owners who may be looking for this item as described. I will only make one production run, so please let me know how many of these reproduction cover panels you want ASAP. Payment would not be required until I am ready to ship.
