Hello all,
I just subscribed to the list last night.
I purchased a GPR-92 from my electronics instructor
for $150 back in 1978. I was a SWL at the time and
used it until I started to recieve a little electrical
shock when I would grab the rack handle to push the
crystal calibrate button in. Into the closet it went,
and every other closet I have used, as I moved over
the years. In 2007 I finally decided to get my Ham
tickets and remembered that the GPR-92 in the closet
"only" had Ham band logs on the bandspread dial
(something I didnt care for as a broadcast listener).
I am missing the power cord and would like to find one
so I can see if it works as well as it did in 1978. It
is a three prong, straight ground pin in the middle of
the hot and nuetral blades, one of which is curved.
Also, I was wondering if there is someone, preferably
near Chicago, that could do an alignment/restoration
on this reciever? Thank you,
Robert W9RFS.
