Mahlon & Group,
In comparing the GPR-90 (which I've concluded is the same as the GPR-90-R)
and the GPR-90-RX, I see no differences other than the addition of the crystal
oscillator and 10-position crystal bank for the HFO. IF output is from the
plate of the 3rd IF. 1st RF is 6AB4. 2nd RF is 6CB6. BFO is 6AG5. 2nd (3rd
actually) Detector/NL is 6AL5.
I don't have the GPR-90-RXD manual.
The GPR-90-RXDS, besides what you've mentioned, has a 12AT7 2nd Det/IF Out
Buffer. The NL is a pair of 1N463's. BFO is 6BE6. It has the diode load and
AVC bought out to the rear for diversity connections. The AVC time constant
changes to slow when the BFO is turned on. It has both Hi-Z and Lo-Z IF
outputs, and has provision for external input of the HFO, IFO and BFO. I've probably
missed something else, but you have a GPR-90-RXD. Maybe you can find
something on that list that isn't that way in the -RXD.
