[TMC] DDR - 5"A"

Hi,

Dad owns what looks like a complete DDR 5"A".

This is a 7 Foot steel cabinet with about 8 rack mounted
units.  

With a complete manual for each unit of about 15 pages per component.
I would guess about 150-200 pages total with scymatics.

This was purchased as one complete "unit" in Panama around 1978.

Dad plugged it in and got a bit of static from it.  But was
working on a Raycal receiver and just wanted to see if the tubes
would glow (I have been nagging him for over 10 years to see if 
this "THINGS" works).

Any information on this reciever would be appreciated....what were
typcial components, todays value, anything of its history.
