Hello everyone,
I just picked up a TMC GPR-90 receiver at the Manassas, VA hamfest today.
After playing with it awhile, I noticed that V11, which is supposed to be a
6V6, has a 5881 tube in it. The receiver does have great audio, but I also
notice that the heater current for a 5881 is about twice that of a
6V6.Anyone know if a 5881 (an industrial 6L6, from what I understand) is a
valid substitute for a 6V6?
Dennis
