It will handle packet, RTTY, Amtor, ASCII, CW, etc. It has actual hardware filters in it, as opposed to software filters in most sound cards. This one has some sort of problem, as all of the LEDs light when it is turned on. Cosmetically, it looks extremely nice. If you have one with lousy cosmetics, this would be an easy "fix". It requires 12 V DC at about an amp, and a DB-25 serial cable. $15 AEA AC-1 "Wall Wart" Power Supply: This "Wall wart" power supply will supply 12 V DC at up to 1 amp. It can be used with the AEA PK-232, PK-88 or others. This unit has a 2.1 mm plug, with the center positive, so it can be used on many different things that require 12 V DC at up to an amp, such as keyers, antenna tuners, etc. This is a "regular" wall wart -- not the new switching type. $14 Five pin "Radio" connectors for PK-232: I found a supply of the five pin connectors that are used on the PK-232. These are the flat connectors that are used to send a signal to the radio microphone. These are new, unused, insulation displacement connectors that will permit you to make your own cables. Several available for $1 each. Is anyone building equipment and need bypass capacitors? I found a large quantity of ceramic disc capacitors left over from a project a long time ago. These are quality Centralab capacitors, 0.1 uf, 16 volt, disc ceramics. They were used to sprinkle all over various TTL and other ICs to keep the noise on the power supply bus down. The 16 volt rating makes them fine for both 5 volt and 12 volt applications. These are new (although several years old), unused, with full leads. These seem to be going for about 75 to 80 cents each on that auction place, which is absolutely ridiculous. You can have a package of 50 of these for $5 (only 10 cents each). Please let me know how many you would like. I also have many other accessories available such as many different types of microphones, HTs, VHF and UHF rigs, antennas, etc. Just too many things to list here. Please e-mail your requests. Prices do not include shipping from Florida. Thanks. 73, Ken, W8EK Ken Simpson E-mail to W8EK at FLHam.net or W8EK at arrl.net Voice Phone (352) 732-8400
