Hello, I am looking for some ideas for a PK232MBX problem.
I bought a used PK232MBX (v. 7.1) with a good set of documentation and
cables. I set the PK232 up for the loopback test as described in the
manual. I am using HyperTerminal for the communications program. I
am set up at 1200 7-E-1 as shown in the manual, and I have good
communications between the computer and the terminal.
When I power up the PK232 I get the greeting message screen:
Copyright, Release, Version, etc, and cmd: So far so good.
Now I am supposed to type in a series of commands to perform the loop
back test. The first one is: MY AAA <enter>. That goes OK and I get
the proper reply.
Then I type C AAA <enter> and there is no response. If, however, I
type <CONTROL-C> I then get the correct response. The same is true
for all the other tests. They operate correctly, but I only get a
response after sending <CONTROL-C>.
It is as if once I am connected I don't get anything from the PK232
until I go back into the command mode--actually looks like a buffer
problem or something.
