1. Macratt doesn't exist anymore. I tried to contact the ham who wrote
it to buy the source from him and update it, but he never responded.

2 -3. Have you talked to Timewave, they took over the PK-232 line when
AEA went bankrupt. http://www.timewave.com, [email protected] or

Subject: [TimeWave-AEA] PK 232 questions

I have an old PK 232 that was upgraded to MBX.
This unit was purchased used. I am currently
using it for packet on a 24/7 basis.

My Questions

1) What is the highest version of MacRatt?
I currently have MacRatt 2.1 with fax.

2)I have heard of heat problems on the
Pk 232. Were can I find info on the best solution
for this problem?

3)The manual states that the unit can operate
between 12 and 15 volts at 1 amp. What is the
best voltage to operate the unit?
What power supply is recommended?

(The power questions are asked because I have a 12v
1 Amp Radio Shack power supply operating the unit.
I had previously had another power supply
Identical make and model that overheated. The one currently in use is
also overheating.)
