Hello Masa,
The 599zx is such a good filter I use it with another rig. The upgrade will improve the receive capabilities on DSP and add binaural
CW. It also becomes a very very good PSK interface. Cost is about $50 plus postage for them to do it I think. Go to their website
for exact costs.
The PK-232MBX they converted is dedicated to RTTY and PSK Since it has two radio ports I use one for FSK and the other for AFSK/PSK.
I prefer FSK for my RTTY. If I use the 599zx then all I have is AFSK using SSB. Those upgrades cost me about $200 plus shipping but
it worked better for me because of the versatility. Since I saw that you also had a PK-232 I recommended you go that way.
If you dont care about FSK or using SSB then the filter is the cheaper choice. I love the 599zx and while the PSK Interface is as
good as any I didnt want to be limited on that rig. I dont know what radio your using so that may affect your direction also.
I am sending this to you and the list as some may have the same question.
Regards,
Bill Marx W2CQ
