Darn I hate replying to my own e-mails but I just sent an E-mail to President Trump pointing out how un-subversive a bunch of blacksmiths are, told him he or staff is welcome to subscribe to the list, read every archived e-mail founding to today. And asked respectfully to consider taking Theforge.list off the watch list or at least remove the threatening message.

I got the canned reply (included below) within moments and who knows, maybe common sense will prevail.

I don't know Dave, anymore than I can explain the lack of traffic. I got the monthly message and for some reason it seemed unclear. Maybe 17 guys misunderstood and unsubbed? I've been getting it every month since the mid 80s so wasn't confused.

At the risk of violating the no politics rule, perhaps the new administration in DC can be convinced we're not worth surveilling. Hmmm, I'll have to see if I can find an E-mail address for the WH.
