[TheForge] Cleaning bones for knife handles

I gave up on finding the correct Dirty Jobs or Mythbusters episodes and
called one of my bladesmith buddies. He said he flensed the bone then either
left it under an old bucket in the yard or boiled it with a little Dawn to
clean out the collagen. Then he epoxy stabilized it like wood, Cactus Juice,
vacuum chamber and heat cured it. He just Epoxy stabilizes antler.

There is also a skull and skeleton cleaning episode on Mythbusters. I'll
have to look on Discovery + and check with local bladesmiths.

I'll get back with what I find.
