hello
a belated Marry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.
This is a quick note about what I have been doing.
I am battling cancer. Currently undergoing chemo which is brutal.
I strongly do not recommend it. Very fatigued.
Watching a lot of history dvds.
Tales From The Green Valley
Tudor Monastery Farm
Edwardian Farm
VIctorian Farm
Wartime Farm
Full Steam Ahead Victorian Railways
I have several thoughts and questions but right now my body is too weak
to type more.

Hey, Terry,
Sounds like 2020 got down and dirty with you. Hang in there.
One silver lining: If chemo makes an old fart like us lose his hair -- who
could tell?
Not much to complain about on this end. Aches and pains. Not
accomplishing anything noteworthy, but am fixing up stuff around the
house. Feeling confined from avoiding the plague. (I might survive it if
I caught it, but I fear for my girlfriend who is a cancer survivor.)
Looking forward to the vaccine -- probably around March.
All the best.

hello Kim
thank you for the reply.
Prayers always welcomed.
I was all ready informed that I can not get the COVID-19 vaccine because
my immune system is being wiped out by the chemo.
2020 SUCKED for many people.
I do have a new scar from my diapharm to my groin on my abdomen.
Surgery was November 5th, 2020

I have a City Boy question that was posted to me by another city boy who
recently moved to rural Kentucky from Milwaukee.
His problem is this:
His well pump brings his tank up to pressure in about 5 minutes starting
a 0 psi.
Pump shuts off as it should at 58 psi.
Two minutes later pressure has dropped to 30 pis and pump comes back on.
Two minutes later it is back to pressure.
IF he turns off power to the pump pressure falls to 0 psi? within 5 minutes.
When the water line going to the pump is turned off pressure remains up.
This is entirely outside my and his realm of experience. It is too far
for me to lay hands on it from Milwaukee.
From piping layouts that I have come up with on line I am thinking
perhaps a back flow valve is not working??

The back flow valve is not in evidence so if that is the problem it is
likely in the well. Could he place one in his building on the incoming
line and not need to pull the pump. That would be a huge strain on his
budget right at the moment.
