[TheForge] New knife steel

I still use email a lot, and I am 66.
But, statistically, in the USA, its actually old people who use Facebook the most. Young people, like my kids in their late 20s and early 30s, dont use facebook at all.
But all over the US, there are local facebook groups composed almost exclusively of older, rural people, because there are dramatically fewer local newspapers and tv news shows, especially outside of big cities. Facebook marketplace is a better place to buy and sell, check local crime, weather, and roads, or communicate with neighbors. I know in my rural county, its pretty much all over 50 year olds, on the very active local facebook groups. Half of the US population over 65 uses facebook. Its known as a desert of grandchildrens photos...
Facebook actually is actively trying to attract young people. and failing.

Its true though, that, as Leonard Cohen says, my friends are all gone and my hair is gray.
But only my older friends- I know 7 people who have died of Covid, and, or course, lots more who just died.
You gotta find younger friends. 
The biggest active members of our blacksmithing group are mostly younger than me, and we keep seeing young people get into the field.
