[TheForge] Holy crap!

Good to see you again Andy! Yeah, FB has been the death of most of the lists
but theforge hasn't gone the way of the mullet. I hate FB, I don't like
being data mined for someone else's profit. The noise to data ratio is just
terrible. Unfortunately social media seems to be the trend everywhere. Have
you tried to get tech assistance recently? Unless you can get through the
phone tree you have to try and find answers on a BLOG. It's like going to a
football stadium during a game to listen to a lecture.

Sorry, end rant, FB just gets me going. 

Prayers for your better half and you. Modern medicine has made cancer much
less of a death sentence. Give her a warm Frosty hug and long sloppy kiss
for me please. (;

I don't spend much time in the shop anymore though I'm still playing with
burners some. 

The snow is going fast and the driving surfaces are starting to turn to mud.
Hopefully it'll rain for a day or two and clear the ground off so it can
start to thaw and drain. 

Ahh, enough about us. I'm just glad to see you keying here again and
stirring a little life into the list.

Hey guys!  LONG time... I thought theforge had gone the way of the dodo.  I
am SO glad to see you guys are still here.  It has to be close to ten years.
My netlabs account went away, got this gmail account, and I guess life got
hold of me.  Wife had cancer, but survives to this day and I guess after
that ordeal I'd just assumed the list was over in the wake of Fraudbook and
other so-called "social" media.  I prefer to call it anti-social media, but
let me not get started.

Been awhile since I've swung a hammer.  Bunches of our old compatriots are
on FB, but to be honest I like this medium loads better.  Less noise.

I look forward to hearing from you all.
