I was given a blade for my antique Crescent woodworking bandsaw with
26" wheels, much better than what I had but too long. I made a crude
jig to hold the joint in place, cut to length and feathered the ends
of the cut. Brazed with a torch. Got it right on the second try.
It's survived a decade of occasional use, cutting up to 5" thickness.

I'm not totally confident it would work reliably with a 1/2" blade
running over 10" (?) wheels but worth a try before fronting big bucks
for a special-purpose welder. FWIW, YMMV etc.

First real snow of the year here, several inches, but we escaped the
two or there feet they got in upstate NY & NH.

Happy Solstice all, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year,

- Mike
