Bruce covered it pretty well, the answer is probably yes. Chromed metal
isn't very reactive, chrome oxide is what makes stainless steel so resistant
to oxidization. It is susceptible to mechanical erosion though.
I'd use aluminum pop rivets. Or you could use a header and make piened
rivets.

Good morning metalheads,
Question: If I made an aluminum frame for something that is going to be used
outdoors, could I use stainless steel fasteners (lag screws or bolts) or
would the combination of metals cause electrolysis (corrosion) at the point
of contact of the dissimilar metals?
