I have one of that description, a Black & Decker identical to one
advertized in a 1925 catalog for $25 -- maybe a week's wages for a
good man then?  It's going strong.  Also a B&D end grinder of same
vintage, also going strong.  It needed a new brush holder circa 1977
and the B&D depot in Halifax had 3 in stock so I now have a spare.

Got them for $5 each from a retired smith who had sawed his thumb off
on a table saw while wearing gloves in an unheated shop. (SAFETY HINT!)
