[TheForge] One more on the cracked forge

Until I build a shop with a covered porch the forge sits outside, but I do
keep it covered. I'm still adjusting to the rust menace we have in Florida
and learning that even covered things rust. Something I never worried about
in Colorado. I cleaned up the forge and moved it into the garage before
hurricane Irma hit. That is when I noticed the poor condition of the pan.

We have beat this one to death, but one more swing with a club.

If the forge is going to sit outside - rain and moisture all the time, clay
may not be the best thing. The coal runoff will be sulfuric acid and may
well eat up your forge.

I put straps on my old forge to hold it together. The expansion sheared the
1/4/20 bolts. I ended up getting some nickel rod and welded up the crack.

Good luck!
