[TheForge] OT: Government waste

I bought some bulbs from a company, "American Handicapped Workers", that sold Lifetime incandescent bulbs. Call after several years and they would sent a new one PP but the Federal Trade Commission socked them with a $4mil settlement for misleading customers by saying it was a charity. There were 4 complaints but I was satisfied with the product and service. The ones that didn't last were outside but still held up for years.

I've dropped them in a slack tub, fished them out and they still work.  I
twice ran them through a full washing machine cycle and one of the two
still worked.  (I think the other I ran through the dryer as well...)
Best of all, these are often available as freebies with ANY other purchase.
