Four kilowatts, he says, for the rack of 12 units. Hey, a solution
for we'uns who'd like to warm our unheated shops in winter.
Also on the "Up arrow" page, a link to moving a tire shredder, which
in turn has a link to the shredder's maunfacturer's page.
If you've ever tried to make something from a modern tire, you've
probably wondered how any recycling could be done to produce a usable
scrap product. The steel belting and the steel tringles are a bitch.
And I still wonder just how they do it but the CM guys claim to have
it down:

Metal-free rubber shreddies in one pile, steel shreddies in another.
Cool.
Long ago, briefly, I tried cut up tires for shop heat. More bother
than it was worth despite great heat at peak output. Now CM says you
can use their metal-free shreddies for fuel. Anybody want to try that
in a blown forge? Maybe if you want to move in on Al Paley's turf?
:-)
