At the funeral today they said that a limb fell on him while he was still working on the trunk, the tree hadn't fallen yet. A solemn reminder to us all the look up and check out the tree before we start cutting. I have friend that is a professional tree trimmer that cuts most of my fire wood in exchange for hunting and fishing privileges on my farm. I've been cutting wood for 50 years, but at my age I would rather let the pros do it.

That is hard news and strikes too close to home. In '09 I came as close as you can get to having my obit published as result of a tree cutting accident.
