Terry, How old is the saw? I have not heard any complaints about the newer ones and ethanol. I have heard of some problems when ethanol first came into play that the fuel lines went punky when the gas was allowed to sit in them. At any rate I am quite happy with my electric. The cord is a bit of a problem , but I have a small lot and lots of cord. Mike Graf
