[TheForge] enough of this nonsense

Terry: I laid out the process for removing rivets and the progression of
contingencies in order of severity. I did so in simple easy to understand
terms. Have you even tried step one?

Sure, Bruce posed a . . . non sequitur of a thought experiment. We gave him
the benefit of the doubt and played along. You offered an even greater non
sequitur of an example and I mistakenly thought you were joining the fun. I
should've remembered I've never seen you exhibit a sense of humor and were
actually . . . serious?

You even claim to have taken enough classes to have earned letters but
aren't able to apply your physics degree to the point of solving a jr. high
school metal shop lesson. Your example of a thin walled cylinder expanding .
. . inward? causing a piston to seize is frankly astounding.

I apologize for suggesting you think and maybe get it. That was out of line,
I should've known better and not engaged you at all.

If you do not wish to take advantage of my real world, hands on experience
please feel free to ignore me or filter me out. But do NOT presume to TELL
us you've had enough of our nonsense. How about you leave us to our fun and
go work on your truck.

hello;

enough of this nonsense.

I am sorry i ever asked the question in the first place.

I am an B.S.E.E. i have taken enough chemistry and physics classes in my
life. I still have the "Rubber Book" a.k.a. CRC Chemical Handbook. It that
book are listed the thermal expansion coefficient of thousands of metal
alloys and pure metals.

The "holes" i am dealing with are currently occupied by snug fitting
stubborn rivets. the hole cannot become smaller unless miraclously it can
crush the body of the rivet. at the worst the hole does nothing.
doing nothing is a valid option.

I will attempt to take photographs of the rivets this morning and post them
to my web server.
