Otherwise I'm not sure what you mean. I think I see a welding joint ON the
face between the body and the heel, as well as one on the side of the anvil.
The welding job here appears to have been excellent, in contrast to the
clean-up after torch cutting. I wonder if those torch marks came later.
I think Larry may be right that the edges were patched. There's just a
hint of added material -- a weld joint on the face (as well as on the
side). I wouldn't want to bet on it tho.
