     I was the purchaser, and will get it in a spot where I can take 
better photos of it and put them on my web site later today.  It has 
been removed from the "For Sale" site, so the link Mike Spenser provided 
won't work now.  The pictures were not great there, anyhow.  I too was 
struck by the consistent rusting.  More info is coming!

     There are markings under the rust that I'll see if I can get more 
legible once I get it out of the trunk of my car and into my shed.  If 
it is cast steel as you suspect, is it at all usable?  I'm a newbee at 
this and Mike Spencer has already warned me about ASOs!  I would guess 
if it is steel it is not completely useless.  I don't see myself 
becoming a full bore blacksmith, but I will want to pound on it to some 
degree.

     I'm also curious on the weight and will put it on a set of scales 
out of curiosity.  It takes two men in pretty good shape to lift it, so 
I believe the seller's guess of 200 lb to be close.
