The homeowner has to roll the thing to the curb. That's where the
semi-automated trucks can pick them up. So between pick-up days, it would
be nice to have them out of sight, but convenient.
It'll take some design work to get the thing right, but I thing a good
first idea would be a room-divider screen (Google that).
