[TheForge] Rivet question

At one time I was going to write a book about the 20 years I spent drilling.
The title was going to be, "Beyond The End Of The Road To Nowhere,"
subtitled (or whatever it's called) The road to nowhere has 4 ends, one at
each end and two in the middle. I was actually keeping a journal for a while
till I realized I was just writing about things that pissed me off.

Don't they make the anti corrosion additive for radiators anymore? When I
started using the plastic gasket material and SS bolts the corrosion in the
thermostat cap (top radiator hose fitting) dropped way off. I never had
trouble with the thermostats themselves. Uh, you ARE using antifreeze aren't
you? The modern stuff makes a really REALLY lousy electrolite.

Classic! Expensive flub blubs!
Well, i made the delivery, with 6 stops ,fooling with the timing and trying
to thump the stuck thermostat loose.
Running hot as hell all the way!
That thermostat housing is aluminum on a cast iron head with brass and
stainless thermostat. This will make the 3rd time i've had to replace it! Can
you say, " mixed metal corrosion>" Grrrr.
