I have use JB Weld epoxy with good results. My understanding is that Hoffi
used some type of two part epoxy that has a "rubber" like result when setup
and this results in a shock mount to some degree. I understand that that
compound can't be found in the USA but that may be old news and now
available.

Subject: [TheForge] handles
An actual question about handles...
All my life I affixed handles using a wooden wedge then crossing it w/ a
metal one.
Depending upon use, sometimes the came loose, sometimes not.
About 10 years ago I became interested in blacksmithing and bought one of
Hoffi's hammers. He used some sort of epoxy to hold the hammer to the
handle and I don't think it has a wedge.
Does anybody have any idea what is the best way to attach a handle?
Hoffi's epoxy has worked pretty well altho now it seems to be just a tad bit
loose in 10 yrs of use.
What is the best epoxy to use if one were to use epoxy?
James
