They seem to be talking about constructing some items from scratch using scrap, or ore as feedstock , with significantly lower energy requirements.
Only some items would be coated apparently.
Trying to imagine working the stuff…Guess we’d blow the properties pretty damn fast when we tried to weld it.
However, as a laminate it might well be possible to forge it..Who knows about heat treating? They brag about greater heat tolerance in service.
It’d be spiffy if we could actually forge it and retain the strength, etc!

Maybe it'll be too tough and not practical to reuse in smithing. That would make all the scroungers sad.
