my original firepot was going "south" on me last year and I ordered a 
new one from
Blacksmith Depot.  It came in a few days, very heavy and thick cast 
iron.  No problems.

While I was waiting on the new one I built a liner for the old one from 
some 3/8" plate
I had laying around.  It would get red hot and stay that way all day.  
I'm sure it wouldn't
last forever but it served its purpose as a temporary fix.
