Chicago-area members of this group should check out the Chicago Industrial
Arts and Design Center.  Located in Ravenswood, CIADC offers classes and
open studio access to a wide-range of metal-working equipment and a
community of fellow smiths.  Access/classes are very affordable.  Find out
