I have a rivet forge with a blower that is held only by its
nose/nozzle to the under-hearth air pipe. Don't recall if it's
Champion or not but it's all-cast iron.

The end of the blower is effectively a crude dovetail. The pipe to
which it connects matches, only that one side of the dovetail slot on
the pipe is a separare piece held by a bolt that can be
tightened, making the dovetail into a clamp. Worked for me for years.

I'll see if I can get a pic. The blower is under the bench but the
rest of it is out in a storage shed surrounded by other crap. Don't
hold your breath. :-)
