Several years ago I needed to drill 3 holes, 3/4" dia thru the walls of
my shop which are 18" thick. I had a used hammer drill bit, standard
length, and cut / welded in a rod / welded the other end back on and I
had my long drill. Of course, I wasn't drilling in concrete but it
lasted for what I needed. i think I used HiAlloy 500 rod, don't
remember. I know this won't last for long but might be a solution for a
few holes, might have to re-weld.
Just an idea.
