I don't give people crap for being cold, cold is what you feel, temperature
is just a number folk put on it. My Grandmother gave me my best tip for
outhouses in winter. When she was a kid in the Ohio territory everybody had
their own toilet seat they covered with cloth and kept behind the stove,
they'd tuck it inside their coats and run for the outhouse. It works a treat
but I made my own mod some years later, when I needed one of course. I cut a
toilet seat out of Styrofoam and kept it inside. Warms up almost instantly
and I had an old military trenchcoat so it wasn't a terrible experience at
all. I do prefer inside plumbing but I do have to wonder about folk who go
to the toilet in the same house they eat in.

Or frozen down to the outhouse seat. A 100 ft.extension cord and an electric
tea kettle, that's the ticket.
I know, I know, where you are, Jerry, cold is cold. But here in Nova
Scotia, a run of nights at 0F rising reluctantly to 20F in the day is the
usual thing in January but **not** in March. Today's brilliant sun and 34F
but the last week or so has been bothersome.
