Yep Bruce is right, you print what you get and that is after begging and
begging. I did the AACB Newsletter for 6 years and most articles were ones
I did. Recent ABANA article using fab was really nice work and really nice
art. Life is a balance and so is art.

I think Larry has said it all:

"As an Editor for NJBA I know that editors have to construct a publication
from what they receive from outside sources as we are editors not the sole
authors. I look to fill a newsletter with what I feel is related
information, if what is available is a stretch I might still use it if need
be. I get very few articles submitted to me. I am sure the Editor for the
Ring would love to give priority to blacksmithing, but are the only items
submitted a mix of forged and fabbed? If so I am sure that is why it is in
there."

I am one who does occasionally submit an article to Larry! I even had one
of those (edited to include a similar one by Don Plummer, I think it was,
published in the HB.

Bottom line: If you don't like what you see in the HB, don't complain, just
SUBMIT an article of the sort you want to see! If your all-forging article
doesn't get printed while a fab article DOES, THEN you have reason to
complain!
