[TheForge] Christmas

Hi, Terry.

Have you played with CAD programs?  It's one way to be very productive
while sitting in a chair.

I'm working on designing and prototyping lightweight forging equipment
(forge, firepot, hood, flue, blower stand, anvil stand, vise stand), all to
fit in the trunk of a subcompact car.

This project will eliminate our 3500-lb trailer that never contained more
than three forging stations anyway!  I'm sick to death of lugging around
the heavy equipment we've accumulated over the years -- all to demonstrate
forging of S-hooks and the like!  The last time we used it it took about
four of use over an hour to set up and SEVEN of us at least that long to
break down.  NEVER AGAIN!

Anyway, I finished drawing up the forge table and firepot yesterday.  I've
gone back to drawing up the anvil stand, which I've already finished
prototyping.  It's a lovely day, though, so I'll probably quit and do other
things till dusk.
