Bruce, I don't know if this will work, but for watercolor painting you use a masking. It comes in a small bottle at any art supply store. It comes off the canvas or paper with an eraser. I do not know if it would hold up with the heat. Now that I think of it, it might be good for doing etchings. Something to try in the new year. Vince
