The real tragedy is that only the boxed wine survived.

I sincerely do NOT want to be in my shop during a serious quake. There is too much unsecured weight everywhere.
Friends who were in the Simi Valley quake had a commercial exotic plant display made from stacked tiers of RR ties.
The huddled in the doorway as the ties went sliding across the floor, slamming back and forth into the walls.

biggest one I ever felt was the 1964 Alaska quake, which was a 9.2- but I felt it in Seattle, over a thousand miles away. It still shook my model cars off the shelf.
