[TheForge] forging press

5 by 8 cylinder at 3000psi max, currently have a 2 hp motor running a 11 gpm pump and only getting 1000psi, pump out put should be 2000psi. speed is fine but don' feel I'm getting the pressure that I think I shouldbe getting

It would seem to be plenty - if you cannot move 16 gallons of oil in a minute with 5hp... :)

Your cylinder volume is also a factor - how large the cross section and how long the stroke?
