I stand corrected. Aluminum can be toxic. However, it's worthwhile to
consider HOW toxic it is. For those really interested, here's one report
from the CDC website:

Quothe:
"An MRL [minimal risk level] of 1 mg Al/kg/day has been derived for
chronic-duration oral exposure (365 days or longer) to aluminum"
For a 200-lb (100-kg) man, that translates to 100 mg/day for a year.

people with a varied diet don't have a lot to worry about from aluminum
toxicity, but that under certain circumstances its toxicity can be a
concern. I'll leave it at that because toxicology is not my field.
If your aluminum pot starts dull gray and ends up shiny bright after
cooking something, you might want to consider throwing out that meal.
