Andy,

Sounds like quite a day.  I have the opposite problem, the house is 2oo 
yards from the hwy down hill all the way.  When we have ice or snow I always 
wonder if I will get stopped at the bottom, or get T-boned.

So far the few times we couldn't stop there wasn't traffic, I'm always ready 
to hit the ditch to stay off the road if I have to.

I need steel but we have gotten 24 inches of snow the last 2 weeks and I 
don't want the put the driver through an adventure.  They say 50 tomorrow, 
so maybe by mid week it will be safe to get deliveries.
