Incredible.   First off, so we know where I'm coming from, you can call me 
conservative.  Not necessarily Republican.  More Libertarian.
What I don't understand is from where I sit, conservative leaders in local 
and national government seem on average dumber than their more progressive 
counterparts.   Why is that?
Any time any group of them get together, they seem dumber than a bag of 
hammers.  (Blacksmithing content).   AND they make the same mistakes over 
and over.
