[TheForge] EXPLODING charcoal

Many years ago I took a class at Tom Clark's school.  The batch of coke he 
was using had rocks mixed in with it.  You never knew when one of the rocke 
would pop and throw fire out of the forge.  It was a little un nerving. I 
took another class several years later and didn't have the problem, so he 
must have switched suppliers.

There was a note on the EKmetalsmiths list about a bag of charcoal
contaminated with limestone rock which exploded on the person.

  The suggestion was made to be wary and start checking in a bucket or
sideboard any charcoal before putting it in the fire.

Theirs was Cowboy Brand, but it could happen to any of them.
